The International Conference for Graduate Education (ICGE) is an annual forum co-hosted by Foreign Trade University (Vietnam) and its partners. Designed primarily for graduate students and early-career researchers, ICGE brings together scholars, graduate students, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange ideas, strengthen academic networks, and promote innovation for graduate education. Over the past four editions, ICGE has attracted the active participation of universities and organizations that are partners of FTU from many parts of the world, creating an inclusive platform for presenting research, receiving constructive scholarly feedback, exchanging ideas, and developing international and interdisciplinary academic networks in addressing global challenges.
International cooperation is being reshaped by a combination of geopolitical tensions, trade and investment restrictions, technological disruption, climate-related risks and persistent economic uncertainty. At the same time, artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and the transition towards low-carbon economies are changing how firms operate, how market are governed, and how governments regulate activities. These transformations create new opportunities for innovation and development, but also raise significant concerns regarding inequality, regulatory fragmentation, employment, economic security and the capacity of emerging economies to adapt.
Against this backdrop, the ICGE 2026 is organized under the theme “Reimagining Cooperation in a Fragmented World: Evidence from Firms, Markets and Policies”. The Conference invites participants to examine how international, regional and cross-sectoral cooperation can be reimagined to strengthen economic resilience, support responsible innovation and promote inclusive and sustainable development in an increasingly fragmented world by addressing a central question: in a world pulled apart by geopolitics and reshaped by artificial intelligence, what forms of cooperation – among firms, among nations, between states and markets, and between humans and machines – can sustain growth, welfare and resilience?
Papers may address, but are not limited to, the following topics:

Submission Guidelines
- Authors may submit either an extended abstract of 3,000 -5000 words or a full paper of 6,000 – 10,000 words, excluding references and appendices.

- Papers must be original and not be published anywhere.
- Submissions should be sent via icgeconf@ftu.edu.vn.
- There are no submission or registration fees for participation.
Publication Opportunities
- Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit revised full manuscripts for possible publication in the ICGE 2026 Conference Proceedings with an ISBN, subject to academic review and compliance with the publication guidelines.
